Discovery Center of Springfield presents the 24th annual Festival of Trees benefit on Saturday, November 21, 2009. Experience, indulge and enjoy food, beverages, live and silent auction, and the science behind 3 different topics. The 3 topics that will be presented are Diamonds by Maxon's Diamond Merchants, Chocolate by Askinosie Chocolate and Scotch by Brown Derby.
           

Activites will begin at 6:30 p.m. with open bidding on over 150 silent auction items and informal presentations of the science behind Diamonds, Chocolate and Scotch. At 8:15 p.m. silent auction bidding ends and destination live auction begins at 8:30 p.m.

Charlotte McCoy, Marketing Director of Discovery Center comments on the event,  "Discovery Center continues to enhance and change our Festival of Trees event.  This year we want all guests to experience the evening with some of our favorite things Diamonds, Chocolate and Scotch.  Science is in our everyday life and we want adults to experience life long learning which is what Discovery Center is all about."
